The Infinity Dream Award

Untitled

Supreet nominated me for The Infinity Dream Award.
I personally haven’t heard much about it but Thank you for this one. 🙂 You can visit Supreet’s blog here. Okay so he challenged me to talk about my dreams, goals or aspirations. This is bit tough for me, cause I have so many dreams. I think, dreams, goals or aspirations give meaning to life and without any dream or goal, our life would be so dull and boring no? Each day we’ll wake up thinking what to do next? And goals or dreams are like challenges and challenges are what make life very interesting. So, dreams are very important to be happy, to keep ourselves busy or to just live the life happily. I’m a pure dreamer. I dream a lot, and I hope they’ll come true! 🙂 By the way, I’ll not share all my dreams, but only few 😉
So according to the challenge, here I am going to share some of my dreams with you. Let’s start:-

1. One of my biggest dreams is to see the WORLD, to travel around the world. I just want to visit different-different places and taste different kinds of food. I made a list of places I wanted to visit in my lifetime and I’m really hoping to visit them one day. 😉
2. I always dream of being a good writer. And one day I want to write something which will touch the hearts of many people. ❤
3. Ahan! PhD is never out of my mind 😛 I want to pursue PhD.
4. Yeah one more, I want to do something for my country, for poor or needy people. I wanna make a difference, I want to spread education so that people can know what’s good and what’s not, so that every one can live happily in peace. Especially, I want to educate poor village girls for free, because they really need it, they actually need a good education. 🙂

Okay these were my dreams I’d like to accomplish, before I die. You know, a friend of mine once told me that we are here for one reason just to fulfill our purpose/goals/dreams and when you figure out what this purpose is, we die. This is strange but quite interesting. But, if you’re happy, that’s the main thing. We are nothing if we don’t have happiness. All the other things are fake material things that we don’t necessarily need. All we need in our life is just love and happiness. So stay happy, love yourself, dream a lot and live your life! 🙂

Thanks once again to Supreet, I really enjoyed! 🙂 And one more thing, few days back Yashika also nominated me for The Liebster Award, Thank you dear 🙂 and I will answer your questions very soon, and here I would like to nominate you (Yashika) for this The Infinity Dream Award. Just tell us about your dreams, goals or aspirations in your next post?

Big Congrats ❤ ❤ ❤

Be Straightforward…..

Why do people taunt others? I mean, I really don’t understand this. Because, I never taunt. If I don’t like something I will let you know straightly and will help you to correct your mistake or I will just stay quite. Because you know, those people who taunt actually consider themselves better from others. And personally, I do not like such people. I think, they taunt others to hide their own weaknesses and problems. This doesn’t makes them smart. I hate such people.
So simply…Be straight-forward, world is already full of bad people. Never sugarcoat your words. When you say exactly what you mean you’ll be heard, understood and respected. Always be true to yourself to be Yourself. 🙂

Book Reviews (Kitaabi Gup-Shup)

Book Review:- HALF GIRLFRIEND by Chetan Bhagat

1

I know, I am late but anyways, Today the book I am going to review is none other than the famous and controversial Half-Girlfriend by the one and only CHETAN BHAGAT. Finally Chetan Bhagat is back after a very long time ( almost 3 years) since Revolution 2020 which came out in 2011. Honestly, Chetan Bhagat’s recent novel Half Girlfriend with its strange title was a typical bollywood film type story but still I liked it, because somehow, I’m a typical bollywood girl. 🙂

Yes it is not Bhagat’s best work, according to me his best work was “Two States” undoubtedly. ‘Two States’ was my first read and still my favorite, I love that book, so I think CB’s best work was 2 States. 🙂
Anyways, I ordered Half Girlfriend on Amazon.in and it arrived right on time. Now let’s begin with the story, well It is a simple and total Bollywood story. The story revolves around a Bihari boy called Madhav Jha who is from a village called Dumraon and a rich girl called Riya Somani from Delhi. Madhav and Riya both are basketball players. During the trail match for St. Stephan College’s examination Madhav met Riya, and just like most of the love story starts, Madhav instantly falls in love with Riya. Madhav wanted a relationship and not only friendship but Riya only agrees to be his half-girlfriend.

I just not liked but I LOVED the character of Riya Somani, maybe because I am 80% like her 😛 While reading the book, I was easily able to relate myself with RIYA. I love her character the mosttttt! ❤ There were so much love, love, love and emotions in the book. I liked the message that “when a person really like or love anyone, no matter how ‪hard or difficult the situation is they’ll find a way to make it a success and never ever leave you.” And as I said, I am a typical bollywood girl, So it reminds me the famous dialogue from Om Shanti Om
“Kehte hain…..Agar kisi cheez ko sachche dil se chaahon to poori kayanat usey tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hain” 😛 (People say that if you love someone with your heart then the whole world tries to get you close to him/her).
And, the story of Half Girlfriend is exactly like the dialogue. 🙂

I liked the story, it’ll make you cry, it’ll make you laugh. Overall It is a good and common love story with lots of twist and turns and the author also highlighted some of the social problems in the book. The language is so simple. Chetan Bhagat writes in a very simple language easily understandable by most people. According to me the only bad thing about this book is that it is more of a film script than a novel.

I don’t know why a lot of people have issues with Bhagat’s English. I know he writes in simple English but still he is the biggest selling English language Novelist in India’s history and Time Magazine named him as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. I actually like his writing, his English and his novels. I’ve read so much worse books and I can tell you that it is a lot better than those books. I know its not his best work but it is not too bad that you cannot read it. It is a good book and I liked it. But if you want to read Half Girlfriend, Read the book without lot of expectations.

Some interesting quotes from Half-Girlfriend:

“Sometimes following your heart leads you nowhere”

“Survived, yes. Lived, no.”

“Girlfriends come and go but, thank God, mothers don’t break up with you”

“ If you crush a flower before it blooms, will it bloom as bright later?”

“Live with dignity. Live for others. That is how one earns Respect.”

“Don’t quit. It will happen one day.”

I found Half Girlfriend to be as entertaining as any good Bollywood movie with ‘happy ending’. All in all it is a simple and nice book and as always Chetan Bhagat’s book keep you holding till the end. I liked Bhagat’s writing style. It is a one time read. You can read this book if you are a Chetan Bhagat fan (like me) and if you like his romantic flicks, otherwise don’t read it.

And one more thing, I am sure that it will definitely make a good Bollywood Blockbuster 😉 I hope, they will cast Arjun Kapoor for Madhav’s character and Kriti Sanon for Riya’s character. They both will look nice and will make a great pair! 🙂

So, Have you read it? What’s your view? 🙂

Sometimes . . . . .

It happens! Sometimes you’re just so sad that you don’t scream or cry. You simply bashed yourself for everything. Sometimes you feel like no one understands you. Then, you just sit there, all numb, wondering how sad you are. And you just keep whiling away the time, and wishing that it all gets better.

But sometimes…..It Never Does!

They are not Loyal….

026765333

I read many times, people say “if someone comes back after leaving you, feel lucky and accept them, they are loyal.”
But I say NO! just forgive them but never trust them again. They’re not loyal. They just come to you for their own comfort and they will surely leave you at the end. So don’t trust them. You are not a toy, just leave him/her because you deserve better!

Respect & Love yourself! 🙂

I am Here…..

i am here

Hey you! 🙂

I don’t know you personally. But perhaps, I know you’re sad today. Maybe a little off with anything & everything. I have to say, don’t worry it happens. I know, you’re scribbling through random stuff here and there to while away time but nothing of this is actually helping you. So, I want to tell you that I am there for you always. Emotionally and Mentally I am with you. 🙂 A stranger from another land somehow knows how you feel. And I am not going to tell you to have a great day or something. Instead, I’ll just prefer listening to you even if you don’t make sense. I’ll just simply tell you to have a day and stay positive. Everything will be okay! 🙂

I just want you to be happy, stay alive, feed yourself whatever you love, do whatever you love to do, wear the most comfortable clothes and just breathe in. And yes, don’t give up on yourself yet. It’ll get better, I promise you. 🙂

Till then, just have a day and be positive! ❤

My Views

My Views on Deepika Padukone’s #MyChoice Video.

Have you guys seen Deepika Padukone’s #MyChoice video? I watched it and honestly, I didn’t like it. There are so many objectionable things in the video and I think, the video was simply degrading the image of women. I don’t support Deepika this time. I mean by creating this video they are making a woman look weak while we are not. I do not understand what message they want to convey? feminism is not about making the same mistakes as men and justifying it as our choice, we don’t need special attention and we don’t need a video saying women should be treated differently, what we actually want is a video that talks about how both men and women need to be treated equally! Sometimes overthinking is the big cause of unhappiness, so please don’t create issues, don’t make life more difficult for women or I would say for middle class and rural women, respect both WOMEN & MEN we’re two sides of coin but incomplete without each other.

I read somewhere that it is made for rural people, well I don’t think so… because if it is so then why is it in English? it would have been made in Hindi no? so the thoughts can change the mindset of rural people…..right no? I think, most Indians do not understrand English properly, then how will they understand the message? And by showing your erotic images in the video you’re talking about women empowerment and women’s condition in rural areas, seriously? I am shocked! Miss Deepika Padukone, do you even know, what is the condition of women in rural areas? Try and bother yourself to go in a Indian villages to find out the hard hitting reality, the ordeal of the women in the rural India is unbearable. Anyway, Women Empowerment means equality between the two, it doesn’t mean one is superior to the other and this video and your message is totally nonsense. I hope our young generation doesn’t take it seriously, its just a marketing gimmick. There are far more concerning issues about women’s rights than this. And one sec, just look who’s talking I mean, someone who has lambasted Ranbir Kapoor in public should better keep her mouth shut about her own CHOICE.

(Left) Deepika Padukone and Saina Nehwal (Right)
(Left) Deepika Padukone and Saina Nehwal (Right)

By the way, have you guys heard about Saina Nehwal? She is also a Indian girl, and now she is world’s #1 badminton player. I mean, how I admire her, she is a role model for me. And she should be India’s role model, I would like sons of India to be LIKE her. All India’s children to have skills like her. She is the best and She doesn’t need to make a video to say #MyChoice. She LIVES her choice. SALUTE YOU SAINA! Now see, one side we have Deepika and other side Saina, they both are women, both are in professions that are highly competitive and both face fame, critisism, love, fear, anxiety, insecurities and etc. Both have choices and here is what they choose to do with it. Saina made us and our country proud. And yes! I choose Saina Nehwal as my role model for empowering women because she walks the talk. By becoming the FIRST INDIAN WOMAN to be ranked No.1 in badminton in the WORLD, Saina has trashed a lot of naysayers. I can’t even estimate the pressure this 25 year old bears while she fights her way to the top, quashing the so far informidable Chinese and instead of wearing make up and crying in front of the camera about her insecurities, she remained determined, focused and committed to her passion and see where it has brought her. 🙂 After losing the world cup 2015, we were all very disappointed but so what if 11 men couldn’t bring home the cricket honors? See what a young determined WOMAN is capable of? Well, I have nothing against Deepika, I love her acting and beauty but yes for this video, NO…I AM SORRY!!!! I know, She is a public figure but according to me, what she signs up for under the banner of “women empowerment” should be well thought of and planned. Her video was more about making choices according to her whims. Oh god! How can women be empowered by that??

Anyways, this was my opinion on Deepika’s #MyChoice. I eagerly want to know your opinion…..so want to share? 🙂
